Pamela & Scott

This past Friday morning (before we went to the Zoo :) Jas had an engagement session with Pamela and Scott. He was pretty excited about this session for 2 reasons:

1. It was in Mt. Vernon - much closer than DC, and a change in location was refreshing

2. Pamela had a totally different idea in mind (than a lot of brides) of what she wanted to get out of the session - she wanted fun, care-free pictures, and basically NO cheese moments at all! Jas was pretty stoked to do a session like that!

I think they turned out great!!! (I know - I'm Jas' biggest fan :)

Erin, Mark, Colin and Caitlin

Family #2 from last Sunday was Erin, Mark, Colin and Caitlin. Colin is quite a ham, and his little sister Caitlin thinks he is pretty funny :) And look how color-coordinated the whole family is (apparently that's a specialty of Erin's :) - they look sharp!

Kristy, Chris and Emma

Sunday Jason had 2 family portrait sessions - the first session was with Kristy, Chris and cutie-patootie Emma :) It's sooo obvious that Emma is the apple in their eyes (corny I know :) and the head of the household!! There is no way they can say no to that face (the tongue is priceless, and in almost every picture :)

Lifestyle Session - Thomas

So this past Saturday Jason had his first Lifestyle Session with Tom, Jenn and Thomas (and we can't forget Crick the dog :) Lifestyle Sessions are something new that Jason is offering - he comes to your house, follows you around with the camera, and captures everyday moments your family has together. These aren't portraits...you don't smile and say cheese...they are more photojournalistic style - beautiful, classic, and meaningful. Jason had a great time with Thomas and his family...they played, brushed teeth, read books, ate lunch, and a whole lot more. The goal of these sessions is to capture your family at this stage in your lives..for example, Thomas takes his job feeding Crick (the dog) very seriously - he looks forward to it every day and has gotten quite good at it :) One of my favorite pictures from the session is Thomas filling up Crick's bowl - it's not a portrait, not a picture you would necessarily hand out to family and friends, but as a mom myself, it is a picture that I would cherish forever. It's the little moments that count and that we all want to hold onto, and these Lifestyle Sessions capture those - the little moments.
