Michelle & Derek

Michelle and Derek exchanged their vows in the beautiful Meadowlark Botanical Gardens Atrium in Vienna, VA. They both looked amazingly gorgeous and had non-stop smiles and grins on their faces all day. Their ceremony was beautiful and their reception was joyful, which is perfect for a couple that is both - beautiful and joyful.

Congratulations Michelle and Derek!

A little trouble getting the ring on... :)

Check out the slideshow below to see more of Micheke and Derek's special day!

Guess Who's Back...Back Again...Jason's Back...Tell A Friend :)

WOW! What a couple of months it has been for us!! Jas had surgery on his leg and his recovery was WAY more involved and WAY longer than the doctor told us to expect, so we have in turn gotten WAY behind on our blog posts! Yes, the blog has taken a backseat to recovery, senior shoots, more recovery, weddings, proms & corporate jobs, and yes, more recovery :) But - hold on to your hats because over the next two weeks blog posts will be coming faster than you can say (insert something you say really fast).

And just so you don't think the blog is the only thing we have been ignoring - here is a picture of our baby boy enlisiting the services of his big (almost-4-yr-old) brother to help him drink his mid-day bottle :) :)

Michelle & Derek

Michelle was all smiles and Derek couldn't stop smiling at Michelle, which made Jason's first Engagement Session of the year a gorgeous success! Michelle and Derek are getting married in April at the beautiful Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, VA and chose Washington, D.C. for the setting of their Engagement Session. They lucked out and hit a beautiful, semi-warm March Sunday. As they walked around D.C., in addition to having a great time shooting their pictures, Jason also received a nice history lesson (Derek is an Assistant Professor of History at the University of the District of Columbia). They were as laid-back as they come and Jason is really looking forward to shooting their wedding!

Portraits - Kendra

Kendra's mom met us at last years Bel Air High School Senior Fashion Show (her younger daughter was in the show) and told us then and there that in one year she would be contacting us for portraits for her older daughter. Here we are one year later and she did just that! Kendra's shoot was short (a mini-session), fun (her mom and sister came to keep her laughing) and the pictures turned out great!

Bel Air High School Senior Fashion Show

The 6th annual Bel Air High School Senior Fashion Show was fantastic! The models all looked amazing, the musical numbers were entertaining, and the whole show had such a great energy about it! Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the event, and we will hopefully be able to be a part of this year after year! Kim - you and all of your volunteers did a wonderful job putting this all together!

If you are interested in viewing/ordering pictures from the show OR model headshots, go to www.pictage.com/618784 and register to be notifed as soon as the pictures are released.

Introducing, your Bel Air High School Senior Fashion Show Models!

Here are some shots of our booth at the pre-show expo:

Hair and makeup for the show is done by local vendors - they do an amazing job!!

The musical acts were fun this year - the students seem to let loose and have a great time! Here is a sample of the guys' first dance:

And some shots of the ladies:

And now for some runway shots:

The show MCs (teachers at the high school) performed "Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better" with quite a bit of acting - they were great!

For the next musical number, the guys not only had choreography, they also had props!

The finale was "We Go Together" from Grease....it was so much fun!

And after the show was all said and done, and the applause had faded, one of the Senior guys invited one of the Senior girls up on stage and asked her to prom (they are the faded blue and green outlines below) - it was very sweet - and although it had nothing to do with photographing the show, this picture sums up the whole feel of this event - togetherness and camaraderie....
