Graduation Portraits - Lauren

Lauren and her mom Karen are no strangers to J. Thomas Photography - we met Lauren and Karen the first year we photographed the Bel Air High School Senior Fashion show in 2008. Lauren went off to college at my alma mater, Salisbury University, and Karen continued running the Patterson Mil High School Fashion shows so we were lucky to work with her year after year :)

4 years later (Oh.My.Gosh., it has been 4 years!?!) Lauren is graduating college and we were SO exicted to shoot her graduation portraits!

Chris captured some beautiful pictures of Lauren in Havre de Grace - they visited the promenade, the marina and the park on a gorgeous day!

~tiny one~ to * BIG BOY 1 *

You may remember little Spencer from some of our blog posts last year (Spencer's newborn and 6-month sessions)...a BEAUTIFUL baby boy who Jason had the pleasure of photographing his 1st year of life....from a little tiny needs-to-be-held-and-fed newborn to a big and adorable walking-and-talking one year old! Being able to watch Spencer grow through the camera's lens has been so fun this past year, and we wanted to share a little bit of the miracle of his first year of life....

from beautiful baby....to big baby blues

little Spencer is 1 and fun!

Picture Frames and Chalkboards and Mustaches - oh my!

This past Sunday marked our very first (and most definitely not last) mini-session portrait day, and it couldn't have gone any better! Brooke and Julie from Granger & Wit (pictures of them to come soon!) were SO great to work with! They worked their little butts off the whole day, swapping out scenery and props for all of our awesome families! They put names on chalkboards, made the kids laugh, handed out confetti and cleane up confetti :) And the kids AND parents that came - SO fabulous to work with! Everyone was up for a good time, they gave us silly, they gave us serious, pretty smiles and great big laughs!

We can't wait to do another one - and if we're lucky enough Brook and Julie will join us again! If you're interested in joining us for one, let us know and we'll put you on the list to receive more information!

In the meantime, check out these beautiful faces :)

Celebrate Your Love! - mini sessions

February is:

American Heart Month, National Hot Breakfast Month, National Sweet Potato Month, African-American History Month, National Bird Feeding Month, National Children's Dental Health Month.....and on and on and on!! There are SO many reasons to celebrate and smile in February, but at J. Thomas Photography, February is "Celebrate Your Love" Month, and we think that's the best celebration there is! We want you to celebrate your love for your husband or wife, your love for your cutie-patootie kids, your love for your best friends, cousins, grandparents, pets, boyfriends, girlfriends - and YOU!

Take a look at our short video below - hopefully it makes you smile, and want to be with the ones you love!

Senior Portraits - CATCH UP!

SO.....last year I might have had the goal to post more to the blog...and I might have even had the goal to post every senior shoot we did...and I just might not have met those goals - SORRY!!

As usual, senior season gets very busy, and a lot of tasks fall before the blog (i.e., getting excited seniors and parents their prints! :), so blogging falls behind.

Once again this year, I am making it a goal to post a LOT more! Even better, Jason and Chris will be writing some posts of their own - so look out for those! :)

To start off 2012, here is are some images from senior sessions that didn't get posted last year - they are sooooo gorgeous (all of them!) and I just couldn't start the new year without showing them off :)
